Hey, Dolls!
Hope you’re having a good day. All I can think about is this bitter cold weather and how much I miss the summer. One thing I try to do this time of year is to keep my skin healthy by eating foods that really promote hydration.
So here is a short list of some of my favorite foods that can help your skin stay moisturized.
- Flaxseed – I add this to my oatmeal every morning. Flaxseed oil consumption can reduce skin reddening as well as improve skin hydration, which limits roughness and dryness. Not to mention it’s packed with omega-3 fatty acid, alpha-linolenic-acid, which may help retain skin moisture – a special perk during the winter months!
- Kiwi – not only is it good in a smoothie, but kiwi also has plenty of vitamin C, which can help with synthesis of the structural protein collagen. This makes it a potent ally in the pursuit of a fetching complexion.
- Salmon – In addition to being packed with protein, salmon is also the bomb when it comes to omega 3s, which are an especially important element of cell membrane health. They allow cells to hold more moisture, which results in softer skin and less blotchiness.
