From Celebrity Hairstylist to President: Tippi Shorter Unveils New Career Move
Tippi Shorter made a name for herself in the hair industry as a celebrity hairstylist and becoming the first African-American beauty professional spokesperson for Pantene and first Global Artistic Director for textured hair for Aveda. Now, she is the president and brand ambassador of Her Imports and just last Monday, November 6th, Tippi hosted a launch party for their new custom wig collection and OSI product line at EZ Studios Penthouse 37 in NYC.
Attendees got an up close and personal look at how the products were used through demonstrations with the OSI flat iron with its special features; vibrating plates, that transfer heat through larger sections making the smoothing process faster, and floating plates that allows the hair to curl without any crimps or bends and the Lashé Cling Life-Proof Lash Glue, which allows temporary eyelashes to last 2-3 days.
Her Imports has 40 retail locations throughout the U.S., which sells human hair extensions from Kinky Curl to Malaysian Straight and related hair-care and beauty products.
