How to NOT Gain Weight on Vacation

how to not gain weight on vacation

Hey Dolls,

As you probably know, I just came back from a relaxing 11-day vacation in beautiful Trinidad. Well, I am not sure about you, but sticking to eating clean can be rough when one is on vacation! So I came up with a kick-ass plan that allowed me to enjoy my vacation without packing on the pounds. Because as we all know, summer is right around the corner, and we need to keep it tight, lol! If you’ve got a destination in mind that you simply must get to but don’t quite have the funds necessary to do so, you may want to apply for credit after checking your credit score for free at Lendingexpert.co.uk.

The List

  1. The first thing I do is find out where the closest grocery store is to where I am staying so that I can buy a couple of gallons of water and a bag of salad. Doing this can help keep you flush out any extra sodium or sugar you may have picked up throughout the day.
  2. I always try to do a little workout. If the hotel has a gym, great! But if not, then that means you have two choices: a little light running for 30 to 40 mins, OR pick five of your favorite exercises such as lunges, sit-ups or squats, and do them for 30 seconds each with a 20-second break in between for a total of 35 mins. Even if you’re planning on going on holiday to New Zealand for example, and you’ve decding that getting in touch with a Wellington campervan hire company was a good idea, you’ll be able to explore what this country has to offer. With that being said, while you’re not on the road, you can find time to walk around the area and experience it that way. At least this way, you’ll get a bit of exercise in during your day.
  3. My meal plans throughout the day looked something like this: eggs and fruits in the morning, for lunch I allowed myself to live a little, and for dinner, I had protein shakes.

P.S. I actually dropped 2 pounds on vacation from all the walking I did!

- XOXO, Wasidah
