For the love of coffee

Before I moved to NYC at the age of 26 I never drank coffee; I was raised to believe it was bad for you. So here are 4 different things you can eat besides drinking coffee to give you vitality and stamina.
1) a handful of mixed nuts. These give you a small boost of energy and at the same time many nutrients needed in your daily activities. It is also a great anti-inflammatory food (heart health).
2) A small serving of lean chicken or turkey (i.e. skinless breast) baked or broiled. A  great source of protein and a low carb, low fat satisfying snack.
3) A serving of salmon. This is a great source of Omega-3 fatty acids and has anti-depressant  as well as anit-inflammatory qualities (heart health).
4) A tablespoon of peanut butter. This on a wedge of apple can kill your sweet tooth and give you a quick energy boost.
