I started rocking my natural hair again this summer and I could not be more in love with it!! This change has brought its challenges, playing with a bunch of different products to figure out the best ones for me. So of course I jumped at the opportunity to collaborate with https://www.tressenoire.com/ which is made up of a team of talent sisters dedicated to natural hair. The real icing on the cake was that these sister make housecalls: they come to your house instead of making you wait at the beauty shop. Not only was I in love with my hair, but I also learned how to get 3 super sassy hairstyles and no trips to the beauty shop. The first style had my hair pinned up for a super elegant look. Three days later I decided to take a couple of the twists out to create an afro ponytail and three days after that I was back to my fun & fabulous ‘fro just in time for my best friend b-day party ..

PS. ladies check out the interview below by           www.tressenoire.com on how to maintain your hair and the mix  of those rough and tough workouts ..

It’s time to refresh and revive yourself ladies! Since we have officially entered the Fall season, it’s time we shake off old ways and work toward becoming a better person. There are many ways in which you can become a better you – pray, read more, laugh more, say a daily quote, or even workout.
Whether your workout consists of yoga, Zumba, or the elliptical at Planet Fitness be sure that your hair stays healthy and flawless as you leave the gym. Sometimes we get upset because we just got our hair done and our edges are already puffy. Or maybe we are bore with wearing the same old ponytail each and everytime. I spoke with TresseNoire stylist Onica to get a few quick tips on how to keep our hair together before, during and after the gym.
Q: What are the best styles for the woman who goes to the gym?
A: Wear protective styles, full weaves, braids, and even buns.
Q: Should women wash their hair every time they leave the gym or is co-washing better?
A: Co-washing your hair is better, but be sure to rotate it. For instance, co-wash on Tuesdays and Thursdays, but wash the other days. But if you have a blowout, wash your hair every 2-3 days.
Q: Do you think women should perform different treatments (i.e Black Tea, deep conditioning and protein treatments)?
A: Treatments are definitely necessary, but you don’t have to always use them.
Q: What are some ways to upkeep different styles (i.e. Twist Out or Bantu Knots)?
A: Always use a satin bonnet and you may have to re-do the style, depending on your hair texture.
Q: Do you recommend any other drinks or vitamins to help with hair growth?
A: I recommend collagen that is good for the hair, nails, and skin. Honestly, there are a few vitamins such as biotin that can help with hair growth.
These are just a few recommendations for those women who want to shake off the old and usher in the new. Allow TresseNoire to join your journey of change and growth both inside and out. See you next time!
