So, recently I made a new friend in the fitness world. She was having a few challenges related to fitness and, since I firmly believe in people on the same path being supportive of each other, I gave her few tips. Not that I’m an expert but I have been doing this for a while. Anyway, I ran into her a few weeks later and she said she was still having problems and wanted to try modeling instead. Well, she definitely has all the looks so she could definitely pull it off. More power to her. I hope it works out.
Later, I gave it a bit more thought and realized something. Every different path requires hard work. Whether it’s a new career path, a new job or even a new relationship, it all requires effort and determination. Some people seem to think that if the going gets rough then they should switch to something else. The idea being that when they find the right goal that things will suddenly get easier. Looks, I’m trying to tell you– it’s all hard. Finding an easy path is a once in a lifetime fluke. So, you shouldn’t decide to pursue something based on whether or not it will be hard. It will be. Trust me. So, base your decision on the OTHER side of the hard work. Which path, once successful, will make you happiest? What’s worth pushing through to the other side?
For me, it’s fitness, but for you is might be something else. Think about the goal and that will help you get through the hard parts as you try to get there.
